Designated REALTOR® (DR)

Who They Are: A licensed broker who is the principal of a real estate firm meaning they are a sole proprietor, partner, corporate officer, or branch office manager.

Responsibilities:

Ensures that all licensees affiliated with their firm are in compliance with membership requirements.

Responsible for the dues and assessments of all licensees in the firm who are not themselves members of the association.

Privileges:

Authorized to use the term "REALTOR®" in connection with their business.

Eligible to hold elective office and vote in association matters.

REALTOR® Member
-
Who They Are: A licensed real estate professional (broker, broker associate, or sales associate) who is not a principal in the firm but is affiliated with a Designated REALTOR®.

Responsibilities:

Must adhere to the Code of Ethics and maintain membership in good standing.

Privileges:
-
Authorized to use the term "REALTOR®" in connection with their name.

Eligible to vote and hold elective office within the association

REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® Member
-
Who They Are: A licensed real estate professional who is affiliated with a Designated REALTOR® but chooses the REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® membership category.

Responsibilities:

Must adhere to the Code of Ethics and maintain membership in good standing.

Privileges:

Authorized to use the term "REALTOR-ASSOCIATE®" in connection with their name.

Not eligible to vote or hold elective office within the association.

Note: All three membership types require adherence to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Code of Ethics and entitle members to the benefits and services provided by MIAMI REALTORS®, Florida REALTORS®, and NAR.
